Let the words off-grid, rustic, and private conjure images of peaceful evenings around a crackling fire, and cooking in a brand new kitchen stocked with just about anything you need to cook, bake, eat, and clean up. Basic pantry items for both cooking and baking are provided, Coffee and hot cocoa for the cool morning pick-me-up after a restful night’s sleep; popcorn and probably some candy are in the Lazy-Susan; board games, puzzles, cards, and yard games, are just waiting to help make memories that will last. Fishing poles and reels (fly fishing and regular), binoculars, and a telescope are ready to help you create new fish stories and to give you an up close view of the beauty that is creation.
Fish from the dock, don some waders (not supplied) and step into the cool waters of the Peshtigo, fly rod in hand, or even hire a guide and fish off-site in some of the best fishing locations in the state. Hike the trails the property provides or hop on your fat tire bikes and head for the local bike trails. Adventure awaits and at the end of the day, you will welcome a fire by the river or in the woodstove, a cool or hot drink on the covered front porch, maybe you will add a piece or two to the puzzle started by previous guests, but for sure you will enjoy the hot shower and the comfy beds waiting for you in either the main floor queen bedroom or in the bunkroom. Clean sheets, fresh towels, and only the sounds of nature will surely make for a good night’s sleep.
There is a canoe, a kayak, and enough life vests for 4 on site as is vehicle and trailer parking. This property is available year round (4-wheel or AWD necessary November through mid-April) and provides a nice place to snowshoe and snowmobile, and is near downhill and cross-country skiing.
